mamnoon means thankful in Arabic, Farsi and Urdu. It couldn't be a more apt name for the reception and community engagement we've had in the last 13 years. We've basked in and shared our gratitude with you in the best way we know how.
Sunday Sept 14th was mamnoon's last service and has closed its doors thereafter. Thank you for everything, Seattle.
Ultimately, the story is not ending, but moving onto a new chapter. Our mamnoon fine foods mezze products are sold at over 100 markets in Seattle, Washington and Oregon, which was our way of extending our food to your table during the pandemic. We'd love to continue to be a part of your table spread.

The mama restaurant group began in 2012 with our flagship restaurant, mamnoon, in Seattle, WA. Racha and Wassef Haroun, the owners, decided to open mamnoon because they wanted to share with Seattle the warm hospitality and delicious healthy cuisine that they grew up with in Syria and Lebanon.
Although Racha and I are Syrians, we have been in the Seattle area for more of our life than in the Levant. We have deep cultural roots but consider ourselves just as much Seattleites as Syrians.
Over the years, we've successfully adopted the culture here, and blended it with our roots. We wanted our mamnoon, hanoon, mamnoon street, mamnooncita and mbar projects to reflect that and to be an example of how Levantine cuisine can move forward without losing its roots, or what makes it special. We've been proud to have championed levantine culinary expression in the US since 2012, and we hope you feel at home, or transported, in all of our charming spaces.
